Is it a motor of a lost ship washed up and inbedded in the rocks ? There are a little bits of steel inbedded in the rocks around so whatever it is its been there for a very long time. And in the position it is in with bush behind it definitely came from the ocean and not the road.

Hm. Fascinating shot. You have found a slight mystery, as diesel straight 6 engines could be used in cars, motorcycles, tractors, heavy truck, industrial AND marine applications.
