Cape Comfort cargo ship launch. Boatmen with a warning flag at the April 1945 launch of the Cape Comfort cargo ship from the Pusey and Jones shipyard on the Christina River at Wilmington, Delaware, USA. This ship had a capacity of 5124 tons. Built for the United States Maritime Commission, and transferred to the US Navy in 1970, it was later scuttled. This photograph is part of a collection from the Pusey and Jones Corporation on the history of shipping and shipyards.
